Dr. Nau is Co-Founder and CEO of Eyewell. She completed her Doctoral degree at the New England College of Optometry in 2000 and a Residency in Ocular Surface Disease the following year. She then worked in the Ophthalmology Department at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, MA while serving as a sub-investigator at Ophthalmic Research Associates. In 2003, Dr. Nau became the Director of the Optometry Service at the UPMC Eye Center, Department of Ophthalmology in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, she established the Medical Contact Lens Clinic and founded the Sensory Substitution Laboratory. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists, the International Keratoconus Academy, the Scleral Lens Education Society, the Association for Vision and Research in Ophthalmology, and the Eye and Contact Lens Association. In addition to securing over 5M in research funding, she holds leadership positions for national organizations, has published widely in peer reviewed journals, lectures domestically and internationally and is a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technology section of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Nau brings extensive clinical expertise as well as supervisory, operations and management competencies to Eyewell.
