Dry Eye Evaluation
For mild to moderate dry eye
Sometimes, over-the-counter eyedrops just aren't enough to keep your contacts comfortable or to prevent discomfort after a long day on computers. Our basic evaluation includes a thorough history, assessment of the structures in the front of the eye, their function, and quantitative measurements of your tears. Your Eyewell doctor compiles a summary of findings with recommendations for a structured management plan that is also provided to your eye doctor.
Extensive Dry Eye Evaluation
For moderate to severe dry eye or if you have not had a good response to treatment
For more complex patients, or for those who have failed treatment. This is a deep dive into all of the possible causes for your dry eye including a systemic screen for other conditions that can contribute to ocular surface disease. Your Eyewell doctor interprets the data and suggests structured recommendations for treatment that is shared with your primary eye care or other referring provider.

Results of your testing profile inform personalized management strategies
Eyewell provides a holistic, personalized approach tailored to your unique needs. Our team developed diagnostic and treatment protocols founded on the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) Dry Eye Workshop II and Lifestyle Report which both unified the scientific and clinical community around common understandings of dry eye disease and facilitated improved patient care.
Your comprehensive treatment plan may include in-office treatments, home self-care, medications, lifestyle adjustments, or even surgery, ensuring every aspect of your care is thoughtfully considered.
Our Fees
Eyewell is a self-pay facility. Why? Because it has to be.
Taking the Frustration Out of Dry Eye Care
We've all been in the common situation of waiting months for an examination and then experience crowded waiting rooms and rushed appointments. At Eyewell, we know treating ocular surface disease requires a holistic approach. Ours is a concierge style clinic, giving providers time to get to know our patients and to reflect on their management plans. We are different because we want to engage your primary eye care provider to be part of this long term journey. Our patients have better outcomes with this team approach.
A Smarter Approach to Care
Dry eye disease is one of the most common reasons people seek medical eye care. Yet, insurance fails to cover clinically proven treatments—like LipiFlow, IPL, TearCare, and scleral lenses—and may not cover essential medications such as Restasis, Xiidra, Xdemvy, Miebo, and others.
By collaborating with your primary eye care provider, Eyewell helps you maximize coverage for follow-up visits. We provide itemized receipts for out-of-network reimbursement, which may also count toward your deductible and be used for tax deductions.
Because we don’t rely on insurance, we avoid the administrative costs of processing claims—passing those savings directly on to you. Our exam fees are significantly lower than what you’d pay to see a dry eye expert before meeting your deductible, and our procedure fees match or beat the average cost in the Boston metro area.
Transparent Pricing, No Surprises
We believe patients should be in control of their healthcare spending. That’s why our pricing is straightforward—just like paying for a haircut. All fees are listed in our scheduling portal, so you’ll always know your cost upfront. Have questions? Call us before booking. With Eyewell, you decide whether to proceed with treatment—without the fear of hidden fees or surprise bills.
A Better Patient Experience
Say goodbye to overcrowded waiting rooms, rushed unsatisfying appointments, hidden costs, confusing insurance statements, referral requirements and prior authorizations for visits.
